Scarlet Details

Its peak summer and the scorching heat is getting to everyone. So, I decided to wear something which wasn't too casual but kept me cool. I decided to wear this white shirt with a white high waisted skirt as nothing can beat white during summers. The shirt is a simple cotton shirt with cutwork and soft collars which makes it casual and the skirt is a cotton skirt. I wore a red louis vuitton bag and red bow wedges. The bow gives my outfit a cuteness quotient and a good amount of red adds some colour. I tied my hair in a side plait as I wanted to avoid the unnecessary sweating with my hair open. I completed my look with red lips to balance the colour of my accessories.

Celebrating Colours

It's that day of the year when Indians all over the world celebrate the festival of colours, Holi. Holi is known as the festival of colours because people play with colours. In every corner of india friends and families get together to smear each other in colour and have a good time. India has plenty of festivals but Holi is special. It's what india is known for, COLOUR and CULTURE.
It can get a bit nasty with all those colours all over you and people attacking you with all sorts of colours. It's literally madness but a bit of it is good. But the colours do persist for a few days even after you've applied everything under the sun to remove it. Holi is celebrated all over the country and I must mention the amazing food. God I love it. The sweets are to die for and there's this drink called 'thandai'.

Gujiya, a stuffed sweet which is a holi classic.

Thandai, a popular drink during holi.

Holi colours

Here are a few pictures before I ended up looking like sort of a smurf with blue colours from head to toe.

Holi is not exactly the day for dressing up as all your clothes get spoilt anyways. So I was wearing a white kaftan with shorts but I wore these chandelier earrings and a silver cuff because I wanted to doll up a bit.

Kaftan: Flea market in Goa
Cuff: Amrapali

Flower Power

So bomber jackets were a big hit this winter. I love the floral print on this jacket. Now that winters are over I feel bad because I have to wait an entire year to wear it again. From the moment I saw this jacket I knew I had to own it. The black makes it very versatile even though the print kind of limits my options of teaming it with everything. Bomber jackets have a very easy going silhouette which thus can be worn with skater dresses to bodycons. This jacket is just so comfortable and I literally wore it with everything. It was just the right thing to be traded with blazers because I was kinda bored of wearing structured silhouettes.

I teamed this jacket with a black skater skirt and a black crop top. To break the monotony and add some colour I wore silver sneakers and red lipstick.
