The Power of the Scots

Tartan is clearly our season's latest crush after its major comeback.

From blanket weaves to laundry-bag squares it was refreshing change from last season's monochrome prints.

With designers and labels showing off this woven wonder on the catwalk from celebrities sporting it off duty, this trend is a RAGE.

Some of my season's favourites:

Dark Florals

So today what I'm wearing is just so meee..
I love florals and most importantly the colour black.
So I decided to team these pair of bold floral pants with a plain black vest and when I'm wearing my favourite things how can I leave out the oh-so-fabulous pink collar necklace.

This is my take on bold floral prints. At times it's better to play it safe my wearing a solid colour with a bold print..and then adding a pair of colourful shoes and a statement jewellery piece.

So long,
Keep it stylish

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

So today is an important day for the fashion industry all over the world because its Donna Karan's birthday, the mastermind behind the successful labels  Donna Karan and DKNY (Donna Karan New York) and DKNY jeans clothing labels.

Nicknamed The Queen of Seventh Avenue, she is famous for her ready to wear clothing line.

Over the years celebrities have sported her designs both on and off camera and they still continue to do so.
Celebs in Donna Karan and DKNY:

Victoria Beckham
Blake Lively

Charlize Theron
Kate Beckinsale

Nina Dobrev
Ashley Greene
Donna Karan launched DKNY after being inspired by her daughter and till now that label has been the most popular among the common people for its affordability and wearability.

This article is dedicated to her divine sense of fashion and the mark she has made worldwide in the fashion industry.

This is me wishing her a fabulously Happy Birthday and hoping she continues to usher us with her amazingly mind-blowing designs.

All Things Matching

All things matching may turn into a fashion faux pas or maybe pretty much interesting if teamed up well with the right accessories or neutral separates.

So in this look below I try to do the same by balancing my printed shorts and clutch with a white shirt. The white shirt works as a neutral separate with my printed shorts and clutch.

Thank god its the Emmys

The 65th Primetime Emmy is here and so is the fabulous red carpet fashion that I was absolutely waiting for. Here are some of my favourites:

Kerry Washington looked fabulous in this floral Marchesa gown.

Elizabeth Moss's black and white gown was a personal favourite. Her topping it off with red puckers completed her look.

Padma Lakshmi looked sleek and sexy in a KaufmanFranco and teamed it with a gold cuff and earrings.

Julianne Hough looked hot in this daring Jenny Packham sheer dress with a off-shoulder bodice in mint.

Cobie Smulders looking ever fabulous in this silk cream gown.

And now on to the pop picks...

Mayim Bialik sure knows how to go from geek to glam. Looking gorgeous in an Oliver Tolentino gown.

RED HOT! Predictable? maybe. But who cares. I love her and she's always gorgeous and that is exactly what she's doing here in this red Vera Wang.

Tina Fey looked bold and beautiful in this blue Narciso Rodriguez

Individuality

For my first blog post I wanted to wear something which is a personal favourite.
My look shouts out 'sleek and formal' since it is an evening look and I didn't want to be a part of the crowd by just wearing a staple cocktail dress.
So I went for a pair of slim fitted black pants and a structured blazer with a sequin vest.
So from this blog you can expect the unexpected because its not always about wearing what everyone else wears and what's IN or OUT of fashion.
Its all about being DIFFERENT and being a HEADTURNER.

So long.
keep it stylish
